Interview to Jorge Conde

We interviewed our colleague Jorge Conde, Business Development. We would like to thank him for giving us a few minutes to answer these questions.

For those who do not know you, how would you describe yourself?

I can describe myself as an extraordinary, elegant and discreet guy… and this is when the music from the James Bond movies sounds…Apart from being a special agent… I consider myself familiar, integral and involved to the maximum with the project I develop, I am not usually half-hearted in general in my life. I´m also quite a perfectionist, which can sometimes take away from my well-being. There will always be something to improve and/or work on, although the most important thing is to be at your best with yourself in “the now”. I would also say that I believe in art and the power of communication.  And finally, that what I like most about my work is being able to add value to the market and to the projects in which I participate.

 

2. Could you give us an overview of your business career from the beginning to nowadays? 

My professional life has always been in the commercial area, managing and developing clients, most of the time in the “B2B” field. I started in the telecommunications sector “biting stone” and doors, I consider myself as commercial warrior. Those were different times and this technique was used to get new clients. This stage improved my resilience and taught me what is, in my opinion, one of the key pieces in sales, prospecting. Then I developed my work with premium brands in the automobile sector, specialising, after a few years, in the financial sector, specifically in the car rental division, where I managed “corporate” clients and was lucky enough to receive quality and useful training in sales techniques, negotiation and some expert mobility and financial programmes. I believe that training should be constant and that is why I completed my training with a Higher Programme in Sales Management, in which I acquired method, knowledge and strategic vision. 

In 2016 I started my stage in Fagor Smart Data Services, where thanks to my colleagues and the different opportunities, I continue developing personally and professionally. First I had functions of a commercial advisor, then of national manager of the mid-market channel and currently I am developing business for one of our “SaaS” solutions, SMARTDATACAR.

This is a small review, it is 20 years of commercial experience in which I always try to have an attitude of openness to learning and appropriate to bring the maximum in the search for good and new results.

 

3. What is your biggest achievement in the position you hold?

At Fagor Smart Data Services, we are fortunate to be part of the business systems group and our achievements are truly achieved as one team, with our customers as part of our team. Achievements are best felt when they are shared.

However, if I had to mark an achievement of my team, it would be the increase in sales figures and indirect sales channels for “mid market”. In my opinion, this achievement has been based on creativity, perseverance and the ability to adapt to the market.

 

4. How is the working environment with your colleagues in the company?

We are a young team, prepared and committed to the project. I feel very comfortable in the team, we have friendly and open atmosphere in which every opinion and idea is shared and valued by the rest, in fact, different forums are created for this, with the aim to generate the greatest possible value in the markets we are presented.

 

5. What do you like to do in your free time?

Spending time with my family, meeting new people, reading, watching series, films… cognitive and behavioral psychology is a subject I am passionate about and, of course, sport in general, although right now I mainly practice LAMAKAI (Polynesian martial art), which really hooked me.

As for the rest, I like to be in contact with nature and try to enjoy life as much as possible, I consider myself an “enjoyer”.
