We are going to interview our colleague Enrique Pachón, sales manager in Colombia. We would like to thank him for giving us a few minutes to answer these questions.
1. For those who do not know you, how would you describe yourself?
I consider myself an active, committed, creative and stable person. My temperament is calm, rational and analytic. I am eloquent and very respectful of others.
- Could you give us an overview of your business career from the beginning to nowadays?
I am mechanical engineer. I started at Prado Didacol, in the heavy machinery after-sales division.
They hired me for the administration of the fleet management system KOMTRAX of the Komatsu brand. With this tool we designed a management model focused on the availability and productivity of machines and we developed management indicators that we revised every month with high-level customer contacts to facilitate decision-making. The strategy had excellent results for the customer, and specifically for the brand’s loyalty. Therefore, we modelled a small business unit called SkyTracking, which was responsible for boosting the same level of service in other represented brands such as Mack and Hino.
We started by hiring local telematics companies, and in 2012 we decided to represent a big telematics company, achieving a high-level alliance with Fagor Electrónica – Flotas Net. I was responsible for the administrative, technical and commercial management until 2017, when I started to dedicate myself to the commercial management of the business.
To sum up, my 13-year career was accompanied by university internship until the moment this company turned into a new company, Fagor Electrónica Colombia.
- What is your biggest achievement in the position you hold?
This is a difficult question. I think of big accounts captured, such as Construcciones el Cóndor, Alianza MEI and Bellanita. I am also proud and very happy with the current commercial team and with being Fagor Colombia.
- How is the working environment with your colleagues in the company?
The situation of isolation added to the constitution of Fagor Colombia limits us. However, focused on the spaces that we share every day, I consider that we have an atmosphere of cordiality, respect and good humour.
5. What do you like to do in your free time?
I am a family man, who dedicate a lot of free time to share it with wife, children and in-laws. I practice Catholicism so I look for some time for prayer. I am not very sporty, so I only practice cardio. I am a fan of the guitar, the telescope, movies and I miss tourism a lot, I love to travel.
